Winter Safaris

Many people dislike winter and the snow it brings but let us show you the beauty and opportunity that winter in the mountains provides.  Snowshoe rental and taxes are included in the price.  Check the Shuttle page for information on day trips and special events.

Soak in the Swan  $35

Somewhere south of Invermere is a natural hot spring that locals and regular valley visitors like to keep secret.  Hop in our 4x4 SUV and let us show you the secret.  Listen to the river as you look up at the stars or at the snow falling while your muscles relax in the warm water.  Refreshments included.                                                  

Friday evenings

Discovery Snowshoe Tour  $45

Leave the sounds of civilization behind as you walk through the quiet forest examining animal tracks and learning about the local history.  Enjoy hot apple cider or hot chocolate and maple taffy beside a frozen mountain creek before making the return journey.

 Tues, Thurs, and Sat mornings

Hoodoo Snowshoe Tour  $55

Hoodoos occur when rock of varying densities is erroded over time by wind and rain.  See them up close on a snowshoe trip suitable for all.  Pack your bathing suit as we finish the tour with a soak in the nearby Fairmont Hot Springs (admission included in price).

Optional  add 1.5 hours   $10
If you're looking for a more unique experience, travel with us a little further to the Lussier River Hot Springs and enjoy some refreshments in a spectacular natural setting.

Other Snowshoe Tours  $65

 Itineraries are still being finalized but other options for a longer outing (4-6 hours including travel time and a visit to the hot sprigns) are being researched.  Possibilities include snowshoeing along a canyon to a natural bridge formation followed by a visit to the pools of Radium Hot Springs or follow animal tracks to a frozen waterfall.  Contact us for details.

Day Ski Trips

If you're looking for a change of pace, we offer day trips to ski resorts such as Fernie, Lake Louise, Kicking Horse, and Revelstoke.  Enjoy the ride and the apres and let us worry about the details of getting you there and back.  Prices vary depending on destination.  More information on the Shuttle page.

Avalanche Skills Training   $185

Have you ever looked at a pristine white mountain and wondered what it would be like to ski it?  Take a Canadian Avalanche Association course with a professional instructor and learn some basic snow safety and snow science.  Call or email to put your name on the list and keep watching the website as dates are yet to be determined.  Snowmobile courses are being considered as well.

Ski Touring   $175

There is something very satisfying when you stand at the top of a ski run having made it there under your own power.  It is a much more personal connection than hopping out of a helicopter or snow cat.  The dry powder of the Columbia Valley and surrounding area is a skiers dream.  Receive a discount if you book an AST course and ski touring day at the same time.  Contact us for me information.
